Lak Daruwo projects are initiated and managed by two teams. The team that makes strategies and
directions are identified as our Strategy Team. At the moment this team consists of several Sri Lankan
expatriates in U.S.A. Projects are implemented by an Implementation Team based in Sri Lanka.
We have several dedicated people helping to implement the plans that strategy team makes.
Both of teams work together diligently to make the Lak Daruwo a success.
Lak Daruwo projects are designed to educate and guide children to be useful citizens of the future
Sri Lanka. The expertise from outside Sri Lanka is essential in this process. These children must
be guided and educated to face challenges of the future world and they must be given the ability to
work with the international communities. The experience of the Sri Lankan expatriate community is
essential making this a success. For this reason strategy team which consists of Sri Lankan expatriates
has become the Think-Tank of the Lak Daruwo network.
The strategies must be implemented and managed by motivated people to achieve success. Our highly
motivated and dedicated Implementation Team is helping the project by doing that. Many of them are
working with us voluntarily. All of this team consists of dedicated Sri Lankans who want to make a positive
contribution to the country.
These teams will get expanded as we gather more dedicated people who want to be a part of the Lak
Daruwo network.
